The MD 100 photometer is a portable photometer from Lovibond designed to determine water quality parameters. The device uses an interference filter with a bandwidth of 5 nm, which ensures high accuracy and repeatability of measurements. The waterproof design can withstand submersion for up to 1 hour at a depth of about 0.1 meters, and the device floats on water. The photometer comes with up to 14 pre-programmed calibration curves – the operator selects the test, prepares the sample, and reads the result.

Features of the MD 100 photometer

  • Waterproof design - water resistant for up to 1 hour at a depth of approximately 0.1 m; the device floats on water.
  • User Calibration Mode - Single-point calibration; reads in ABS or %T units can be displayed.
  • One-time reset (OTZ) function - Zero the instrument once per sample; subsequent tests of the same sample do not require re-zeroing.
  • Ergonomic design – suitable for field and laboratory work.
  • Pre-programmed with up to 14 calibration curves ready to use.

Application of the MD 100 photometer

The MD 100 photometer is used for photometric determination of water parameters. The device is available in about 50 configurations – from single-parameter models, through 2-in-1, 3-in-1, 4-in-1, 5-in-1 and 6-in-1 variants, to dedicated boiler water (10 parameters) and cooling water (16 parameters) configurations.

Available parameters - single-parameter models

Single-parameter models mean m.in:

  • Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Chloride, Bromine - Disinfection Control
  • Iron, manganese, copper, aluminum, molybdenum — metals in water
  • Phosphate, silica, ammonia, fluorine — chemical parameters
  • COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) Test Tube Tests
  • Urea, total hardness, Hazen colour, suspension
