A laminar flow hood is a device used in laboratory work under sterile conditions. In this device, there is a laminar flow of air that has undergone prior filtration through an appropriate HEPA filter. The laminar flow hood is also equipped with a UV lamp, which is turned on before using the device to further sterilize the workspace. This helps eliminate bacteria and other pathogens from the surface of the working chamber. The air that exits the chamber flows in a continuous, uniform stream, creating a barrier that restricts the entry of bacterial spores and fungal spores into the laminar flow hood. This is designed to reduce the contact of laboratory personnel with pathogens, thereby maintaining the sterile conditions required for laboratory work, particularly when dealing with cell cultures.

Our laminar flow hoods are characterized by high quality, low noise levels (which are crucial during long work hours), and an ergonomic design to optimize working conditions. With a stainless steel workbench, a spacious working chamber, and side lamps providing high-intensity lighting, our laminar flow hoods offer optimal working conditions with minimal energy consumption, reducing operational costs. The interior of our hoods is made of polished stainless steel AISI-304, which is significant in daily work as it reduces the settlement of microorganisms and makes it easier to disinfect the chamber. This material will remain structurally unchanged even after many years of use.

Depending on the airflow process and the desired filtration class using HEPA filters, laminar flow hoods are classified into Class I, II, and Class III. Class III chambers are the safest and may even have built-in special gloves to minimize contact with materials being handled in the laboratory. The classification process involves, among other things, increasing the airflow in the chamber to ensure safe work in microbiological laboratories with a specified level of microbiological safety. This guarantees high air cleanliness in the working environment.

Most of our hoods can have optional equipment such as a stable frame for the chamber, gas valves, vacuum valves, oxygen valves, inert gas valves, compressed air valves, water valves, UV lighting, and can even be equipped with a laboratory burner. Each hood is equipped with visual and acoustic alarms, informing the user of any deviations from the working conditions in real-time, ensuring safety during operation.
