Blood and plasma freezers

Blood and plasma freezers are certified medical devices designed for the storage of plasma, blood or blood products. Blood and plasma freezers are manufactured in compliance with Directive 93/42/EEC. The products offered by our company are equipped with recorders and numerous alarm systems, which provide information on uncontrolled temperature fluctuations inside the freezing chamber and on the occurrence of other undesirable events, such as power failure or open device doors. An additional feature of plasma freezers is a locking mechanism in the form of a lock, which prevents the unit from being opened by unwanted persons. The blood and plasma storage freezers have a 7-day temperature chart recorder, which allows the storage conditions of the samples to be recorded and the events of the last week of operation of the unit to be monitored. The operating temperature range of blood and plasma storage freezers is quite wide, the temperature that is possible to set in such freezers can be as low as -40°C to -5°C. The units are equipped with a highly efficient, ventilated refrigeration unit that ensures a rapid return to the specified chamber interior temperature after the door has been opened, as it would be very detrimental to the stored material to cause an undesirable temperature rise of even a few degrees Celsius.Some of the units may have an alarm connector built into the control unit for connection to IT networks, monitoring systems or remote alarms. Due to the nature of the materials to be stored, the units offered by our company have considerable capacities, ranging from around five hundred litres to as much as one thousand five hundred litres. The units can be retrofitted with special shelf and drawer modules, of which there can be as many as 54 shelves and 26 drawers in the largest units to accommodate bags of stored preparations. The units have intelligent automatic defrosting systems. Glazed doors on the units allow monitoring of operation and contents at all times. Standard equipment with an input port allows the insertion of an external temperature sensor to further control the material storage conditions inside.
