Sugar meters are designed to measure the weight concentration of aqueous sucrose solutions, expressed in % by weight. The reading should be carried out at a temperature equal to the reference temperature of 6°C, 20°C, 70°C and within the range of the areometric scale. Thermocoucrometers are sugar meters with a built-in thermometer designed to measure the weight concentration of aqueous sucrose solutions. The reading should be carried out at a temperature equal to the reference temperature of 20°C and within the range of the areometric scale. A correct reading of the solution concentration is obtained with an upper reading.
