Vacuubrand's rotary vane pump oils meet high requirements, especially in continuous operation:
- low vapor pressure even at high temperatures
- excellent lubricating properties
- low oil flow
- resistant to degradation
- minimized oxidation

Oil B
This vacuum pump oil has excellent viscosity properties. Good chemical resistance, low vapor pressure, and better stability when pumping oxidizers such as acid and alkali vapors make it superior to standard mineral oils.
Many pumped substances can cause deterioration of regular oil in the pump, leading to mechanical problems. As a preventive measure, special oils should be used. Special oils can retain lubricating properties, but provide only limited protection against corrosion. Starting pumps at low temperatures can be difficult.
Oil K8
This oil is specially designed for pumping acidic vapors, but it is highly hygroscopic and has limited vapor capacity. The alkaline additive is consumed during operation, making it necessary to change the fluid regularly - even if the pump is not used for several days. The K8 oil in the pump does not have the low vapor pressure and viscosity characteristics of Type B oil. Therefore, the pumps will not reach the specified final vacuum and may not work well at temperatures <18 ° C.
Perfluoropolyether oil
This synthetic oil has excellent chemical resistance. Therefore, it is often used for pumping strong oxidants (halides, nitrogen oxides, etc.). Because this type of oil must not be mixed with mineral oils. The pump designed for this oil should be filled only with perfluoropolyether oil from the very beginning. To change an existing pump to this oil, the pump must be completely disassembled, cleaned and refilled with perfluoropolyether oil by an authorized service center.
