Spherical round-bottomed flask, long neck

A round-bottomed spherical flask with a long neck is a vessel with a rim, without grinding, made of high-quality white borosilicate glass and compliant with the ČSN 70 4041 standard. It is resistant to hot water, acids and alkaline solutions, as well as to large pressure differences, thanks to which it allows reactions to be carried out both in high overpressure and vacuum conditions. The flask is used to prepare and store nominal solutions. It is available in six capacities from 50 to 2000 ml.

Application of long-neck spherical round-bottom flask

The round-bottomed spherical flask with a long neck is used for the preparation and storage of solutions appointed in chemical, analytical and didactic laboratories. The round bottom allows the contents to be heated evenly over the canopy or heating jacket, and the long neck makes it easy to attach the flask to the handles and reduces the risk of splashing during operation. Resistance to pressure differences allows the flask to be used both under overpressure and during evaporation or distillation under reduced pressure conditions. White borosilicate glass provides thermal and chemical resistance in contact with acids and alkaline solutions.
