Spherical, double-necked flask with ground joint

The spherical double-necked flask with grind is a laboratory distillation flask with a spherical bottom and two necks finished with cuts — the first straight neck, the second slanted. It is made of high-quality white borosilicate glass in accordance with ISO 3585. Resistant to hot water, acids and alkaline solutions. Thanks to its spherical shape, the flask can withstand large pressure differences – it can be used for both high-pressure and vacuum reactions. The flask is available in six variants with a capacity of 250 to 6000 ml.

Application of double-necked spherical flask

The Double-Necked Ball Flask with Grind is a laboratory distillation vessel available in six capacities from 250 to 6000 ml. The design with two necks (one straight, the other oblique) allows two elements of laboratory equipment to be introduced into the mixture at the same time.

Both necks are finished with conical cuts, which allow the neck to be quickly and tightly connected to the rest of the equipment. The slanted neck cut is the same in all models (14/23), while the straight neck cut increases with the stock capacity – from 29/32 in the 250-2000 ml models, to 45/40 in the 4000 ml model, to 60/46 in the largest 6000 ml model.

Material and resistance:

• ISO 3585 white borosilicate glass - resistant to hot water, acids and alkaline solutions.
• Spherical shape – resistance to large pressure differences, the ability to carry out reactions in high pressure and vacuum conditions.

The choice of model depends on the capacity needed for the process:

• KK2 250 & KK2 500 (250-500 ml, 29/32 straight neck grind)
• KK2 1000 & KK2 2000 (1000-2000 ml, 29/32 straight neck grind)
• KK2 4000 (4000 ml, 45/40 straight neck grind)
• KK2 6000 (6000 ml, 60/46 straight neck grind)

All models retain the 14/23 slanted neck cut  – regardless of the stock capacity.
