The Interscience Scan 5000 Ai Automatic Colony Counter is an advanced laboratory instrument designed for fast and accurate counting of microbial colonies and automatic measurement of inhibition zones.
The device uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology for automatic identification, counting, and classification of bacterial, yeast, and mould colonies. The 12.2-megapixel Ultra HD CMOS camera and LED Dome lighting system ensure precise analysis of Petri dishes with diameters ranging from 55 to 150 mm, enabling the detection of colonies as small as 0.03 mm.
The Scan 5000 Ai also enables automatic antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) reading, analysis of up to 16 antibiotic discs, and archiving and exporting of results. Thanks to its integration with LIMS systems, the device streamlines workflows in microbiological, medical, pharmaceutical, food testing, and environmental laboratories.
