Laboratory chest freezers are designed to meet all requirements in scientific research and in laboratory, clinical and industrial applications. The 1-point calibration guarantees maximum temperature uniformity. Integrated alarm systems and external temperature and alarm documentation ensure safe storage of samples, chemicals and research materials.
External documentation of temperature and alarms
External documentation of temperature and alarms
Laboratory chest freezers are equipped with a voltage-free (potential-free) connector for connecting an alarm to an external remote warning system. In addition, the units have an RS 485 serial interface for central documentation of temperature waveform data and alarm events.
The precise Comfort electronic module has a digital display and allows accurate temperature setting. The device's operating stages are displayed with appropriate symbols. For proper hygiene in the laboratory area, the electronic module is built-in and covered with a film.

The StopFrost system in LGT laboratory chest units ensures that frosting of the freezer and preparations is significantly reduced, so that defrosting is needed much less often. When the lid of the chest is opened and closed, the vacuum is equalized and the freezer can be easily opened again.
Integrated alarm systems
Visual and audiable alarm systems warn on unwanted temperature deviations or open doors. All alarm parameters can be set individually. The alarm delay can be set from 1 - 5 minutes after the lid is opened. Additional safety is provided by a visual power failure alarm and a sensor fault alarm.

Integrated data storage
The Comfort electronic module is equipped with an integrated data memory that documents maximum and minimum interior temperatures, as well as each of the last three temperature alarm and mains failure events with date, time and alarm duration. This data can be read on the display.
Independent temperature sensor
Independent temperature sensor
Laboratory chest freezers allow the use of a hole (10 mm in diameter) located on the back wall, created to integrate an independent temperature sensor.
