The KF 29 Simple cold traps are designed for standard applications in conjunction with vacuum pumps where moisture or solvents in the chemical application area condense. In these situations, the freeze-out acts as protection for the vacuum pump. A special feature of this configuration is that there is no need for a tripod to hold the defroster..
The cold trap has a rim with which it can be hooked onto the support ring of the Dewar vessel. This ensures trouble-free and quick replacement.
The coolant (LN2 or CO2) should be at least 50°C colder than the condensation temperature of the substance.
