Polarimetric models of the 8000 series are among the fastest in the world, thanks to the Manufacturer's patented measurement procedure, which reduces the measurement time to about 1 s, regardless of the sample rotation angle. This makes it possible to achieve high measurement accuracy of up to ±0.002°. Temperature control is possible with a Peltier thermostat, among others.

Three different model groups are available for different temperature control requirements:

  • Polarimeters without temperature control P8000 and P8100
The P8000 and P8100 polarimeter models are the right choice for all applications where sample temperature control for very precise measurements is not absolutely necessary. The devices are suitable for almost all samples because the parts in contact with the sample are resistant to chemicals. The P8000 and P8100 are recommended for all basic applications. Instead of temperature control, the temperature can be compensated according to ICUMSA. This allows measurements to be taken at any temperature; the results will then be converted to the desired temperature. In addition, an international sugar weight has been predefined on the devices, and the initial weight is taken into account when converting to specific rotation.

  • Peltier temperature-controlled polarimeters P8000-P and P8100-P
High precision measurements thanks to temperature control without an additional device - this is what is offered by the P8000-P and P8100-P polarimeter models, which otherwise have the same functional range and the same parameters as other devices of the P8000 series. They are recommended if the temperature of the sample is to be controlled very accurately in a very short time and with a short control cycle, and is to be independent of the external temperature.

  • Polarimeters with temperature control using the P8000-T P8100-T circulating thermostat
The P8000-T and P8100-T polarimeter models allow temperature control via a circulating thermostat from 8 °C to 40 °C in combination with temperature-controlled measuring tubes and a thermostat. This makes them suitable for precise measurements in quality control.
