Application of Schilling Class B Burette

The Schilling Class B burette is used in the laboratory for controlled dosing of liquids, where knowledge of the volume of fluid secreted is required. The automatic Schilling-type design is a standard solution among laboratory burettes – it is based on a tank with a titrant positioned under a measuring column, which distinguishes it from simple burettes mounted on a tripod. Droplet dispensing at the outlet allows the liquid to be dispensed one drop at a time, which is important for precise dosing of the last portions of liquid in laboratory work.

Accuracy class B is a class used in typical laboratory work where standard titration accuracy is sufficient. For work requiring higher analytical accuracy, Class A or AS burettes (offered by Danlab in separate cards) are used.

The plastic polyethylene construction provides an alternative to glass burettes – polyethylene is shatterproof and lighter than glass. The 50 ml capacity is the standard, most common capacity for laboratory burettes.
