Application of Low Quartz Crucible
The Low Quartz Crucible is a laboratory vessel available in seven capacities, so you can choose a model that fits the scale of your process – from the smallest TK 14 (14 ml) to the largest TK 120 (120 ml).
A characteristic feature of the low profile is the ratio of height to inlet diameter of approximately 1:1.6 – the height of the vessel is noticeably smaller than its diameter. The low profile distinguishes this series from the other quartz crucibles available in Danlab's range, which also includes medium quartz crucibles and high quartz crucibles – with correspondingly different height-to-diameter ratios.
Model selection
The choice of a specific model in the series depends on the capacity needed to carry out the process:
- TK 14 and TK 18 (14-18 ml, diameter 40-45 mm) – smallest capacities in the series, smallest external dimensions.
- TK 25, TK 38, TK 50 (25-50 ml, diameter 50-60 mm) - models with intermediate capacities, which are the middle of the series.
- TK 80 and TK 120 (80-120 ml, diameter 70-80 mm) – the largest capacities in the series and the largest inlet diameters.
All seven models maintain the same height-to-diameter ratio of close to 1:1.6, which is a hallmark of the low profile – regardless of the crucible size you choose.
