The vacuum is generated by a by-pass motor. The motor head is made of AISI316 stainless steel and is filled with sound-absorbing material. It has a design that directs the exhaust air towards the H14 absolute filter, so there is no dust agitation and clean room contamination. A motor switch and vacuum indicator are located on the head. The vacuum cleaner is cooled by the Downstream Cooling Air System exhaust air stream.
The polyester primary filter is housed in an AISI 316 stainless steel filter chamber and has a filtration area of 3,000 cm2 and high efficiency (M class, 1 micron). Three H14/HEPA filters (Before engine, after engine, exhaust air) guarantee the purity of the exhaust air. Protected by an AISI 316 stainless steel cover, the inlet opening of the same steel has a diameter of ø40mm and is located under the primary filter to reduce the risk of clogging.

The collected material goes into a 40-liter (25-liter for liquids) polished AISI 316 stainless steel container, which is placed on casters for easy and safe waste disposal, including directly into bags. The container sits on a sturdy AISI 304 stainless steel frame. Except for the motor head, all stainless steel components have been sterilized in an autoclave (up to 120°C).
